Mr Mangham led our whole school Remembrance assembly this week.
Together the children learned about the confusing and rather complicated reasoning behind the start of WWI.
The children learned a little more about how hard life was when living in the trenches.
They discussed one of the great battles that took place in 1916 – The Battle of the Somme and found out that this lasted 141 days between 1st July and 18th November.
Our Y6 children walked to the Cenotaph on the 11th to pay their respects and to lay our wreath of Remembrance.
School will also be taking part in the community Remembrance service on Sunday 13th November in Bramley.
