Week beginning 17-7-17

Year 3

During the last full week of this academic year, Y3 children will be expressing their hero and villain topic through a range of artwork and writing. We will be extending our powder-paint skills by blending lots of colours together.

In numeracy we will be interpreting data from a range of graphs and charts.

We will be visiting our new teachers for three days next week which we are really excited about. During this time we will be exploring our transition themes and expressing our learning in different ways.

We hope you are enjoying your creative homework for this week. How many challenges can you complete?

Look out for school reports coming soon

Year 4

In our final full week together, Year 4 will be completing assessments in science and vocabulary and going on Transition to Year 5 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

However, PE will be, as usual, on Monday afternoon.

In mathematics we will be reviewing our assessments and celebrating our successes.

During transition, our new Year 4 will be continuing with our theme of ‘The Jungle Book’, learning a variety of new skills and at the same time getting to know their new teacher.

Year 5

In our final full week of this school year, we will enjoying our last three full days of transition with our new class teachers.  During our remaining days in class, we shall be completing our theme work for our Beast Creator topic.

We shall be conducting a mini-beast enquiry, using our maths skills to record data and display our results.

There will be an end of year celebration disco on Friday afternoon for all the year 5 children.

Children will be expected to still bring in their PE kits, although the day may change.
