PLEASE DON’T FORGET SPORTS DAY FOR Y3 AND Y4 IS ON MONDAY AND FOR Y5 AND Y6 ON WEDNESDAY COMMENCING AT 1:30PM

Year 3

Next week Y3 children will be exploring Villains from history. We will be thinking about what makes a villain and which characteristics a person has to make them a villain. In writing lessons we will gather vocabulary and exciting phrases used to describe villains before creating our own descriptions.
In SPAG we will continue to explore inverted commas.

In maths lessons we are exploring measure which builds on our previous learning. We will be learning how to convert between different units of measure so we can use measuring equipment effectively. Also, we will be exploring how different things are measured in different ways.

We will celebrate our sports days next week so don’t forget your t-shirts with your house colours! Also, you will need a hat and some sun cream if the sun comes out.

Remember to keep learning those table facts.

Year 4

This week year 4 will be starting their topic of statistics in mathematics and be looking at the difference between discrete and continuous data and how they can be represented in graphs and charts. in science they will be studying how sound travels, how we can measure volume and how it changes over distance.

Macbeth rehearsals continue with Pete from Open Minds Theatre Company running through our acts for the final time before the performance on Wednesday 28th June.

It is the Y3/4 Sports day on Monday so please try and bring a T-shirt with the colour of your house team. 4O are swimming as usual on Thursday.
