Here at Bramley Sunnyside Junior School we have a strong vision; where children believe that they can achieve the very best and are beginning to understand that today’s learning will support them in the future.
All staff and stakeholders have ownership of our school vision and values:
respect, responsibility and resilience.
Children are at the heart of everything that we do.
As a school, we acknowledge each child’s unique value, recognising their needs and nurturing their talents to the full. We endeavour for everyone to reach their full potential as successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.

Learn MoreA very fitting tribute to our year 6 children as they hosted their final assembly for their families.
Lots of tissues were needed - where has four years gone? But we know that the best is yet to come!
Learn MoreB Kinder Day will always hold a special part in our heart - celebrating the kind spirit of Billie Kinder. This year was extra special because we received kindness cards from Billie's own school in Australia! Our children loved receiving messages back!
Learn MoreWhilst it was a wonderful performance - it was also a very special one. For some of our cast, year 6 have progressed during their time with us, but it will also be there last one!
This week, our children's hard efforts have all paid off - their choreography, songs, lines, timings all beautifully came together.
Special thank yous to Mrs Hammond, Miss Savage and Miss Eastell.
Learn MoreWe are very proud to be awarded the Community Action Badge from the Anti-Bullying Diana Partnership. They said that they 'loved reviewing our evidence and hearing about all of the brilliant work we’ve been doing in our school and community!'
Learn MoreSome of our student councillors carried out a spot check at lunchtime to check lights & electrical equipment had been switched off in empty rooms. Well done 5C, 5B, 3B & 6B - these rooms were empty & electrical equipment was off!
Learn MoreWe have done so much! Our focus this year started with the incredibly enthusiastic Rock Kidz who launched our week for us.
Their message was to 'take bullying down' and involved us all dressing as Rock Kidz for the day as well as taking part in different workshops and a dance off!
Learn MoreThis year we have committed to providing our children with a range of different career options to learn more about.
We have been fortunate to invite an ex-pupil of ours in who is trying to achieve his dream within music. He has travelled to America, supported Young Voices and even brought his guitar into school that Ed Sheeran gave him!
