Week beginning 19-3-18

Year 3

Next week we will be learning about the Story of Easter before creating some work for our special Easter service with Rev. Darren Ward.
We will also be sharing our fantastic homework that we have done throughout this term. We have some great volcano models amongst lots of other interesting pieces.
The children have done well with their tests this term and there will be an opportunity to check our mistakes and learn to solve some of the more tricky word problems on the maths test.

Year 4

In the final week of this term we will be solving money related problems in mathematics and reviewing our achievements in the recent assessments. In literacy we will be developing our Viking saga stories and looking at the Easter story. In science we will be looking at the properties of gases. We will also be reviewing the historical period from the Iron Age to the Norman Invasion and looking at the main changes that happened in Britain over that period.

Our penultimate swimming session is on Monday afternoon for 4J and PE is on Wednesday afternoon. 4J’s last swimming session is on the first day back after Easter.
